Building a European Future in Moldova

In the face of new threats from Russia, Moldova is looking towards a European future. Russia's invasion of Ukraine has uniquely impacted neighboring Moldova, as it manages both an influx of refugees as well as Russian blackmail and misinformation campaigns that seek to sow internal discord. Despite these challenges, Moldova's future is bright, says Iulian Groza of the Moldovan think tank Institute for European Policies and Reforms ( @institutulpentrupoliticisi118). After becoming an EU candidate in June 2022, Moldova is tackling the reforms needed to become a member state. The country needs Europe's support to withstand Russian influence and make the necessary reforms to tackle corruption and build a stronger democracy.
