Join the Global Day of Action Against Nuclear Weapons on 26 November
To mark a summit to discuss a treaty which outlaws nuclear weapons across much of the globe, campaigners across the world will mark a global day of action against nuclear weapons on Sunday, November 26th. Organised by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), the day will show delegates to the conference that the world is watching. Can you join in?
Find out more about the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons
The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons entered into force in 2021 and makes nuclear weapons illegal in the countries that sign it. Representatives from the signatories’ governments will meet in New York to discuss the treaty from November 27th to December 1st. We want bold action that will get us to a world without nuclear weapons, and so we call on all our supporters to organise events and actions in support of the treaty.
Action
- Plan an event. This can be a rally, street stall, photo stunt, flash mob, public meeting, banner drop – whatever you like!
- Let us know by emailing information@cnduk.org so we can promote
- Order campaigning materials here
- Is your town a nuclear ban community?
CND campaigns for Britain to join the global majority and get rid of its nuclear weapons, as a step towards a nuclear-free world. Help us make a statement in favour of this safer future!
