Residents urged to head to shelters amid warnings of strikes; Institute for the Study of War says Russian forces in Bakhmut have likely ‘culminated’

As we get the first reports of the sound of blasts in Kyiv, Presidential office adviser Oleksiy Arestovych has written on Facebook that over 100 missiles were incoming in several waves and air raid alarms could be heard across the country.

The Kyiv City Military Administration has just posted on Telegram saying, “Kyiv! Air defense works! Keep calm! Stay in shelters until the air alarm goes off!” which may mean that missiles have been shot down.
