In 1985, Greenpeace took on a mission unlike anything they had done before - to mass relocate the people of Rongelap in the Marshall Islands, whose home was no longer safe as a result of the US government’s nuclear testing in the region. But this wasn’t a mission led by Greenpeace. It was the Marshallese leading the way with courage — and asking us to stand in solidarity.
